Hi Karen; I've done a lot of surfing & checked out numerous sites,
it seems to me everyone is either trying to push for change in legeslation or help with adoption & thats great but at this point the issue has gotten so far out of hand that adoptions can't possibly be of too much help, & pushing for new legislation frankly will just
take too long though it should be continued,
I have decided to take this in another direction, I'd like to start a
new foundation a 501 (c) (3) to protect these wild horses in the private sector as others have done with other national treasures,
The private sector can move much quicker than government &
without the politics, I'd like to raise money to buy up large parcels
of acreage as new ranges for the mustangs, where they can be
managed properly with other offshoot programs for selected horses to be trained for other services like recreation, municipal,
and adoption in an effort to make a part of the foundation self sustaining, I'll talk more about it with you privetly, this is the only way I can see to help the herds as a whole with the quickest possible results to save as many as possible,
gota go talk to you later, Rick
Well the state is making the facility larger where the go horses upon gathering, I'm hearing they still paln to gather in the fall. Has anyone else heard differently? The Government just doesn't listen to the people and the situation with BLM now, it's so sad, but we still have to keep up the fight.

Thank you Karen. I try to get involved with as many wild horse discussions as I can. I feel that there isn't enough education on wild horses. At least the kind of education that teaches truth rather than suitable fabrications.
Thank you Brenda, these horses are my life. I Iove them dearly as well as feel they have a right to be out there. I will keep fighting every day for them.
I wish there were many, many more people like you Karen. Keep up the good work! As a Native Nevada I have seen the decline in the horse and burro herds in Southern Nevada. I remember as a child, my parents pointing out the herds running through the desert. That just doesn't happen anymore and all Nevadans lose!
